Decorate your house with beautiful and wonderful household paints
A most important thing after building of house is painting. A painting makes the whole house beautiful. Both internally and externally a house is incomplete without painting. Also there are situations when a house owner has spent all his money in building a house and has got nothing to go ahead with painting. In certain situations, the entire house looks like a haunted house. Rather this can destroy the beauty of the newly built home. It is advisable to get paint after few months from the day when the house is built.
The guidance laid down by “do it yourself” will rather help you to get the specific color combination for different location of your home. For example if you wish to make your room appear bigger, you have to use a light color. But the bedroom should have a touch or brightness with a light shade. The shade should have a contrast so that it does not overlap with the main color.
For example, if you are thinking of painting the bedroom, you may try something in cherry red color with a wall of off white color. This would not only make you cozy in the bed, rather it would help you to get a fresh look once you get up from the bed. It is preferable to paint the wall with a light color on the either side of the window. Also the dining space can be given a cool color so that people sitting for dining as well as dinner can get a better appetite. For kitchen, you must always use an oil paint as the fumes can make the walls sticky.
Ideas for decorating an attic bedroom
In homes with limited space, every square inch counts. Sometimes an attic space can be re-purposed as an additional bedroom — but the slanted or A-frame ceiling creates some unique design challenges, which can be overcome with a little ingenuity and planning.
Slanted or A-frame ceilings can limit a room’s usable design space, often making it feel cramped or small even if the actual bedroom is of standard or larger than usual size. Painting the walls and ceiling with a dark color will make it appear even smaller, so be sure to use light, bright colors to open it up and create the illusion of added space. Bedding, rugs and lamps should be chosen carefully, in a complimentary shade that enhances the illusion of spaciousness even further.
Hanging artwork or posters is more of a challenge with a slanted ceiling. Hang frames at the ends of the room, or on the slanted walls. Use long frames that draw the eye upward and make the room appear to have more vertical space.
Place your bed against one of the slanted walls, and build a canopy from the ceiling. This will not only give you a more private sleeping space, but also creates the illusion of greater ceiling height. If the slanted wall and ceiling are high enough, you can build a loft bed on the slant and use the space beneath the bed for storage, a workspace or an entertainment center.
Because ceiling height is an issue, consider the size and placement of furniture pieces carefully. Under-bed storage instead of a tall dresser is one good alternative.
Attic bedrooms can be quite warm during the summer months, even with central air, so you might want to consider installing a ceiling fan if the vertical height of the room allows for it. You might also consider combining a fan with an overhead light fixture. Adequate lighting is essential in an attic room. Recessed light fixtures are effective because they take up a minimum amount of space.
If it’s in your budget, consider installing a skylight overhead. This is particularly beneficial if there are no windows to provide another source of natural light. It also does wonders in creating the illusion of spaciousness in an otherwise cramped attic bedroom. And don’t forget – natural light saves on electricity costs.
In short, converting your attic storage into a usable bedroom space is one clever way to make room for a growing family without building a costly home addition.

Some Fun Enjoyable Craft Ideas For Children

Most parents are hands-on in raising and teaching their children in creating different crafts for children. This is a good way to develop certain aspects in their personalities as they move forward in every stage of their lives. As a child engages in a creative form of activity, he will feel a sense of competence of being able to handle tools that cut, glue or draw.
A child becomes interested in watching other people and will be able to form some ideas in his mind of what he hopes to be when he grows up. Crafts for children that teach a child to make use of cereal boxes and the cardboard tube of bathroom tissues, enable them to build make-believe cities and buildings Thus, some children will see themselves as engineers and architects someday so they can build real edifices and structures.
Here are some good examples of easy-to-do creative crafts for children:
African Mask Making
African masks can be interesting crafts for children because there are a number of designs a child can use to come up with one. One good suggestion to introduce this project is to gather information about African Masks. First, tell them some interesting stories about African natives and how they use their masks. Once they get the idea why such masks exist, ask your children or your child to choose a mask design from the available templates to use in making his mask. There are good sources of this craft for children in the Internet, free and downloadable and to be printed and ready to use.

They can make as many as they want in different sizes to fit all fingers.
Christmas Wish-Ornament Crafts for Children-
The little ones may have something special in mind as their Christmas present. These crafts for children are good ways to let mom and dad and other grown-ups know what they want to receive as Christmas presents. They will hang their Christmas wishes on the tree as Christmas wish-ornaments. They can cut-out pictures of the toy they want from magazine catalogues.
If you have a printer that can print directly from a webpage, you can print the pages for them, so they can make cutouts for these crafts for children. Paste the cutouts on a cardboard stock in whatever form and shape they want but make sure to leave room for their names. Punch a hole for the ribbon or string to be used in hanging the wish-ornament. This way if grandma and grandpa come visiting, they will know what to give each child.
To avoid receiving the same gift from two different persons, the wish-ornament card can be brought home by the interested sponsor, to remove it from other gift choices that have no sponsors yet. Through the help of this craft for children, the giver has the exact information about the toy they are about to buy and a ready gift tag to use.
The more children learn, the more confidence they gain. Although we also have to consider that children’s attention span can also be short. Crafts for children to enjoy should not be too intricate or tedious. What kids are looking for is fun and not work. The easier the crafts for children, the more enjoyable it will for them because they can immediately see what they have created.
