Blue Christmas in the Guest Bedroom

Decorating the newly redecorated guest room for Christmas was such fun.   I wanted to keep it simple, romantic, and light.

The silver tinsel tree is new from Hobby Lobby.

I chose the silver one that looked tarnished.

The pink glittery ornaments are from TJ Maxx

The crocheted ornaments are flea market finds

The keepsake angel topper is from my Christmas exchange partner, Pamela Jean.

The tree skirt is ragged pieces of vintage linens.

Mama and Daddy, both celebrating Christmas with our Heavenly King.

Lovin’ the shabbiness

Sweet mama looks like a little, wide-eyed baby doll here.

One of the $7.00 (unbelievable!) bottle brush wreaths from Big Lots…

perfect over a lacey, vintage petticoat and shawl.

A chilly courtyard view from the window.

Lion looks like he is putting on his green winter cloak!

The fountain is unplugged for possible freezing temps.

French girl dolled up in feathered finery - Pink and blue, of course!

I hope you don’t mind if we run outdoors for a minute.  You have got to see who was eating breakfast in our yard this morning!

I love him!!!!   He is so little and fat!!!

He heard us talking and glanced at us briefly and continued eating.

He ran off when we opened the door.  I hope he comes back!

Since we are outdoors,  lets look at the Christmas decorations in the back yard.

We hang garland and red bows across the 75+  foot retaining wall in the back yard.  We added the big wreath this year.

Rhonda love the way you fixed up your guest room. What night was that you were expecting me, soon I hope.
The wreath was only 7.00 at Big Lots darn I am going to have to play hookey tomorrow and find a Big Lots somewhere. I love those wreaths.
Your tree is beautifully decorated and the Angel is my favorite decoration
Merry Christmas

I love that little tree, Rhonda! That wreath is a steal for $7.00. I'm hosting Frugalicious Friday this week for Jane at Finding Fabulous. I'd love if you'd hook this post up. That wreath is definitely a frugal find! The room looks great and you accomplished the look you wanted.

Hi Rhonda,
You've created so many charming vignettes. I especially like the loving touch of including photos of your parents as children. I loved seeing the plump little deer, and the last photo of your home at night is really dramatic! Nicely done.

Happy Holidays!

Rhonda,
I have a code, and I don't feel good..may I come and stay in your guest bedroom, please? It's so inviting, comforting and charming, that I just had to ask...No? You don't want a code for Christmas? Neither do I.
Your photos are wonderful, and you know how I love deer...Our deer are all fluffed out, wearing their winter coats...they are grey.
You have such a touch.

I love the decor you have chosen for your guest bedroom. I'm sure any guests would be thrilled staying there. I think they would especially like seeing the deer in your yard at this wonderful time of year.

Blessings to you,

I have an interior design site and I am interested in purchasing a link on your website. Your site looks great and I would love to be part of your blogroll. Or, if you prefer we could exchange links.

If this is possible, could you let me know how much you would charge for a basic text link. My site is located at http://www.genuinestyle.net.

Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing back from you.
